We are actively seeking a highly experienced software engineer to lead our development team. As Director of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for leading a growing team of developers and guiding the software development strategy. An ideal candidate will possess a high level of technical knowledge, in addition to superior communication and leadership skills.

We are actively seeking a highly experienced software engineer to lead our development team. As Director of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for leading a growing team of developers and guiding the software development strategy. An ideal candidate will possess a high level of technical knowledge, in addition to superior communication and leadership skills.
Foster a strong “mentoring” culture in which one-on-one and group meetings regularly take place to identify problems and provide the necessary assistance, counsel, feedback,and encouragement.
Develop, implement, maintain, and enforce our application development standard operating procedures (SOP).
Effectively manage software engineering projects/tasks and prioritize them to make sure that key projects are managed in a timely and effective manner.
Ensure a proper development infrastructure is in place to effectively design, develop,maintain, and test software/systems.
Develop, implement, and maintain a protocol for fielding and resolving end-user software related technical issues using an existing web help desk (WHD) system.
Create a collaborative software development environment that effectively works with other departments (i.e. network administration, data, departmental managers, project managers etc.) to ensure a coordinated software engineering effort.
Participate in the recruitment and ongoing hiring, training, and evaluation of the software engineering team.
Ensure that our organization is kept updated on all third-party product development,and that we receive the proper third-party software support and troubleshooting care by effectively managing relationships with third-party software vendors and suppliers
Maintain a software engineering road map. On a regular basis, evaluate our current software engineering environment to ensure the technology is appropriate and current.
Job Requirements:
10 years of software engineering or development experience.
5 years of leading a software development team.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects under aggressive deadlines.
Previous experience recruiting, hiring, and managing developers.
Preferred Technical Skills: Net Framework, ASP. NET, SQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, C, C#, C , XML, Java,JavaScript, MS Visual Studios, Agile Methodologies, Scrum, Software DevelopmentLifecycle, MS Project, Software Project Management, Testing, Quality Assurance, SoftwareDocumentation, HTML, Web Services, Mobile Development, Microsoft Dynamics CRM
